ITSM Services

IT Service Management (ITSM) is an area of specialisation for Schmooze Communications. Since 2004 we have undertaken a large number of marketing, public relations, change communication, custom publishing and corporate writing contracts and projects for some of the leading names in the ITSM industry.

Schmooze's Tania Evans spent four years on contract to the marketing department of HP's software division. During this time she managed HP's customer reference programme and product road shows as well as being at the forefront of setting up a HP Software user's group. These and a range of other projects put her in constant direct engagement with senior IT managers at some of Australia's highest profile public and private ITSM implementations.

Tania has also worked with the marketing team at BMC Software as well as working with itSMF Australia as a media consultant and as a member of the National Conference Committee.

Schmooze's Gerard Norsa has been editing and producing itSMF Australia's quarterly newsletter since 2004 and also works with this independent industry association to increase awareness and news coverage of ITSM.

Gerard's specialist writing skills in this area (including a solid understanding of ITIL V3) is unique among corporate writing service providers and they have been utilised by a large range of ITSM industry players. He has completed diverse projects specifically relating to ITSM such as industry awards submissions (for vendors and their customers), research white papers, customer success stories (case studies), media engagement strategies, journalist briefings, tender responses, media forum moderating, writing event invitations and feature writing for print publications.

Schmooze Communications shares the passion of ITSM practitioners and vendors that ITSM standards and best practice frameworks provide a significant opportunity for IT departments to transform themselves from cost centres to business enablers.

Schmooze Communications' experience in this area has led us to understand that many vendors and practitioners are getting bogged down in communications to stakeholders up and down the food chain. Many of the writing tasks that are critical to ITSM success such as producing business plans, defining processes, communicating change to stakeholders and reporting successes to business executives are not getting done because of the concurrent work demands on those responsible.

Utilising writing and marketing specialists who understand and believe in ITSM is a very positive move to complete these tasks and effectively communicate the positive business outcomes to potential customers, IT department clients or board-level sponsors.
