The company was established in 2000 to help organisations develop effective and meaningful communication strategies that meet the challenges of today's complex business environment.
Schmooze Communications has enjoyed long-term contracts and completed one-off projects in a wide variety of industry verticals. However, it boasts specialty skills and extensive experience in IT, enterprise software, IT service management, telecommunications, consumer electronics and independent industry associations.
By limiting the number of clients it services and only utilising the best quality writing and marketing specialists, Schmooze Communications is able to deliver very personal and focused service with targeted campaigns and closely monitored results.

A small but highly experienced team adhere to the highest professional standards. Schmooze prides itself on direct personal service and absolute attention to detail. Schmooze Communications is owned and run by Tania Evans and Gerard Norsa who have collectively nearly 50 years experience in journalism, media sales, publishing, public relations and marketing.

Tania Evans started Schmooze Communications after working full time for 14 years in media sales for the Australian operation of global ICT publishing company IDG Communications.
Tania now manages Schmooze Communications and oversees the media and marketing services side of the business. Extensive experience in the IT and publishing industries has helped her develop extensive knowledge of the different media outlets servicing the industry. Tania enjoys close working relationships with senior journalists and writers covering this market sector.
In addition, Tania has helped to develop and manage marketing and business development programs for many organisations of all sizes. This includes developing marketing collateral, product roadshows, lead generation initiatives, customer reference programs, conferences and strategic planning.
She works closely with clients to help them establish communications strategies and then demonstrates how to co-ordinate and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers as well as appropriate journalists and media outlets. Tania excels in a broad range of marketing and media engagement skills based on old-fashioned values such as integrity, honesty and good communications.

Gerard Norsa has been working as a journalist and writer since 1989. After spending eight years as a motoring and motorsports writer, Gerard switched his journalism endeavours to the IT industry in 1997 and has been continuously expanding his subject matter expertise ever since.
Gerard is an award-winning former editor of the market-leading IT industry weekly, Australian Reseller News (ARN). He became a partner in Schmooze Communications in 2003.
Gerard now specialises in freelance journalism, custom publishing, corporate writing and media communications strategies for clients in the IT, telecommunications and consumer electronics industries. He is a messaging expert who focuses on aligning communications with business objectives. He offers clients a broad range of writing services such as press releases, custom newsletters, case studies, white papers, corporate profiles, marketing collateral and Website content.
Extensive past experience as a working journalist also helps Gerard to work collaboratively with organisations to develop and execute productive media engagement strategies and engineer consistent marketing messages.
